Kids First Community Health - Centre for Youth Health

The Centre for Youth Health was established in 1996 by South Auckland Health (now called Counties Manukau DHB) and supported by the University of Auckland.  The Centre promotes the well being and healthy development of young people in the context of their family/whaanau and wider environment. 

 

  • Our Team - is a multi-disciplinary team which consists of doctors, nurses and social workers.
     

  • Clinical Services - are provided for young people (12-20 years) in the Counties Manukau District Health Board catchment area:

    • Specialist adolescent clinics for young people with chronic and complex health issues

    • Specialist adolescent clinics for young people within Alternative Education and Youth Justice settings

    • Consultation to other providers on specific youth health issues or cases.

ยท        Education and Training - includes the:

o       delivery of a wide range of seminars and workshops in youth health to health providers and others who work with young people. Please contact us for this year's calendar (2006).  

o       provision of Postgraduate Courses in Youth Health with the University of Auckland.
