Surgical Services - Opthalmology

A range of opthalmic services including specialist consultation, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the eye and visual system, the orbit and ocular adnexae, are provided at CMDHB. The Ophthalmology Service is based at the modern Manukau facility. The department is busy and varied, consisting of secondary level ophthalmology outpatient consultations and day-surgery. The service is computerised and uses the latest generation of ophthalmic equipment and is also used as a teaching facility, offering superb opportunities for further career development.
