Surgical Services - Surgical Wards

CMDHB has five specialist surgical wards.

The wards on the Middlemore Hospital site are located in the Galbraith Building:

• WARD 15 - Plastics (30 beds)
• WARD   8 - General Surgical (30 beds)
• WARD 10 - Combined General Surgical and Orthopaedics (30 beds)
• WARD 11 - Orthopaedics (30 beds)
• NBC        - Burns Unit (12 beds)
  
  
   

Manukau Surgery Centre is serviced by two wards:

• 1st Floor - Predominantly elective orthopaedic, plastics and hand surgery, adult patients such as THJR's, excluding skin legions, SSG's, breast reconstruction, Dupytren's release, and tendon transfers (36 beds)
• 2nd Floor - General surgical, gynaecology, and both acute care and elective ORL (34 beds)
