Introductory Seminar on Sexual Health (Auckland)

A two day seminar held by Auckland Sexual Health Service in April, July and November.  

In this two day seminar, attendees will be introduced to skills and information which will enable them to provide holistic care which acknowledges sexuality.  Subjects covered include:  sexuality, diversity, sexual decision making, overview of STI's including HIV. Taking a sexual history, pre and post test HIV counselling.  Supporting sexual health care for Maori and minority groups.

Whanau Ora exhibition (Nathan Homestead, Manurewa, Auckland)

A group exhibition which questions why certain illnesses are prevalent in the Manukau community.

 

Through installation, photographs, drawing and sculpture the artists reference the everyday physical, spiritual and historical sequences that impact on health. In this exhibition they combine their knowledge and experiences to present an exhibition that intends to discuss and promote healthy family living. Timed to coincide with Auckland’s Pasifika Festival.   More information...
