Health Network (previously known as Health Intranet)

Counties Manukau DHB has established a Health Network for general practice.   GPs can directly access CMDHB patient management systems and specific clinical/medical information from desktops within their practices.

Some general services information to assist with contacting DHB services and finding locations of facilities is also available.

The key DHB systems that will be available through "Concerto", the Medical Applications Portal, are:

  • Web Éclair – patient laboratory test results
  • TestSafe
  • Clinical Documents – general information including referral, assessment and discharge summaries
  • PiMSWeb – patient activity information including emergency department, theatre and waiting lists details
  • Plato – patient surgical notes
  • PathSpeed Web - digital X-rays and reports on patient’s exams

What is the CMDHB Health Network? (previously known as the Health Intranet)

The CMDHB Health Network is one of the authorised services available on the New Zealand Health Network.

Access to patient information held on CMDHB systems requires further authentication by users accessing this information.  User logins to patient management systems are established by healthAlliance during the connection set up phase.

What is the New Zealand Health Network?

"The Health Network is a secure communications network that enables the Ministry of Health and other health care professionals to communicate securely with one another over a closed, electronic network. Only approved organisations are able to access the network and the resources available on it.

The Health Intranet was officially launched in 1999 and was renamed to the Health Network in 2005. It was designed to assist the delivery of integrated healthcare by enabling different health organisations to exchange information over a secure network.

The Health Network forms part of the national framework for the secure and private collection and sharing of electronic health information within the Health & Disability sector."[1]
