Service Development (Projects/Strategy)

The aim of the New Zealand Disability Strategy Making a World of Difference – Whakanui Oranga is to eliminate barriers for disabled people and to promote a more inclusive society.   New Zealand will be inclusive when people with impairments can say they live in a society that highly values our lives and continually enhances our full participation (MOH The New Zealand Disability strategy, April 2001, pg 5).

CMDHB has established an active Disability Support Advisory Committee (DiSAC) with diverse representation from the community.  The DHB and the Committee are committed to advancing the objectives of the New Zealand Disability Strategy.
